My name is Miss Rushton and I teach the wonderful class, 6AR. My favourite subject is maths and I know many children at Talbot share my enthusiasm. I like to use practical activities and investigations in maths lessons to make the learning fun.
One of the best things about teaching in Year 6 is celebrating at the end of the year and sharing all of the children's fond memories of Talbot.
In my spare time I enjoy walking and camping with my friends and family. I am learning Spanish and I also love running, cooking and most of all reading. As many children at Talbot know, one of my favourite books is Harry Potter and when I was younger I was lucky enough to meet J.K. Rowling on the Hogwarts Express!

I have two daughters and we live in Christchurch. I love cycling and ride to school most day. It keeps me fit and gives me a bit of peace and quiet!

My role within this wonderful school is managing the business side of things, including Finance, HR and Premises/H&S, it is a very varied role.
I work with a truly amazing Admin, IT and Site Team who are the backbone of the school and ensure that behind the scenes everything is ready for the children to come into school each day.
Outside of school I love spending time with friends and family, the theatre and I also enjoy walks on the lovely beaches we have in the area with my dog Bertie...

Both of my children attended Talbot and thrived at this wonderful school.
When not at school most of my time is spent between trampolining and swimming: my two girls´ greatest passions.

My name is Mr Cox and and I work in Reception. I have loved every moment of my time in Reception and enjoy each day because you never know what wonderful things may happen.

I'm Miss Hall and I teach in Reception here at Talbot. I have worked in EYFS for seven years and have been lucky enough to spend three of those years here at Talbot. My favourite part of the school year is sports day and the Christmas Nativity!
When not at school I spend most of my time exploring the south coast, especially Cornwall! I also have a sprollie dog named Tai, his favourite thing to do is run in fields and chase the squirrels!

Hello! My name is Miss Smith and I am a Reception Teaching Assistant. I am fairly new to the school and I can say with confidence that I have loved every second that I have been here! I always look forward to opening up the door to the children in the mornings and reading to them in the afternoons. My favourite lesson is Art, as I am very creative and love to see the children getting creative too!
I have lots of hobbies, such as going to the gym, playing the piano, learning French, reading, and cooking healthy foods! I also enjoy spending time with my family, including my pets; I have a German Shepherd puppy called Otto and 2 lovely bunnies called Waffle and Benji. I am very excited to start my Teacher Training, so that I can fulfil my ambition of becoming a KS1 Teacher!

My name is Miss Kowalewska (also known as Miss K. ;). Currently, I am a Year 2 TA. I have worked alongside lovely Miss Hawkins in KS1 since I joined Talbot Primary in 2019. Before that, I worked with older children both as a teacher and TA in Southampton, Poole and Poland where I come from.
In my free time I love spending time on the beach or in the forest with my family and friends. I enjoy walking, swimming and a bit of zumba. My other hobbies include learning languages, walking, travelling, cooking and ... eating!
My favourite school subject is Maths. There is always something new to learn. I love teaching, learning and having fun with our lovely Talbot children and staff.

I am Miss Hawkins and I am lucky enough to be teaching a lovely Year 2 class! I have thoroughly enjoyed my last 3 years working at Talbot. I really enjoying joining in the fun that goes on and I love working with lots of wonderful children. I also love working with the amazing staff at Talbot and enjoy getting involved with any crazy ideas we have.
When I am not in school, I enjoy spending time with my friends, family and my cat Yoda! I also love going for walks in the beautiful places of Bournemouth and the New Forest.

As well as clerking for the Governors, I am also a Teaching Assistant currently working in Year 1. I have been at Talbot for a staggering 21 years and have worked in every year group from Reception right up to Year 7 when Talbot used to be a combined school.
In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym and Zumba classes with fellow friend and colleague, Mrs Lockyer! I am also very passionate about reading and carry my Kindle around with me everywhere! I enjoy cooking and am always buying new recipe books to try out new things. I especially love Italian food, especially when I am lucky enough to eat it in Rome where my sister and nephew live.

Hello, my name is Miss Katirai and I am a Year 3 class teacher at Talbot. I have just moved to Bournemouth this year and I'm really enjoying getting to know everyone in the school community, especially my fabulous class of course!
One of my big interests in life has been travelling! Prior to working at Talbot, I have worked in international schools in Italy and Hong Kong and while living there, I had the opportunity to see lots of other interesting places. I also really love to paint in my spare time, particularly with watercolours. To keep fit and healthy I practise yoga, enjoy hiking and have started rock climbing, which is a bit scary but at the same time great fun!

Becoming a Teaching assistant was one of the best decisions I have ever made, I love my job and the whole Talbot community. Watching the children grow and learn through out the years is such a pleasure and a privilege and I get to be part of their journey.
Away from school, I enjoy being outdoors and believe we are very lucky to live where we do, I love walking, discovering new places and spending quality time with my family and friends. I also enjoy reading, music, films, the theatre and sports, both the watching and the taking part

I have worked in two other Primary schools and seen my children go through Talbot, from Reception to year 7.

I have worked with children in schools for over 20 years, and moved to Bournemouth 7 years ago from London.
I love living by the coast and enjoy going on long walks along our beautiful beaches. I love to read and have recently taken up painting as a new hobby.

My name is Miss Tasan and I teach in 5ET. I absolutely love teaching and have been very fortunate to be a part of the Talbot team for over 4 years. I have been teaching for a long time and keep my age a close guarded secret.
I love teaching in KS2, especially Year 5 - as we get to explore lots of great History and Geography together as well as create great bags, castles and food in Design Technology!
Outside of school, I love spending time with my cat Picasso - she's the best cat in the world! Not that I'm biased of course! I like going on long walks in my spare time but my favourite hobby is reading. As all the children in my class will know, I'm a huge Potter-head! You can find all sorts of Harry Potter memorabilia in my classroom! I'm proud to teach in a muggle school but keep my eyes open for vacancies at Hogwarts.

Life is an endless opportunity for adventure and discovery and my aim as a teacher is to imbue this sense of wonder and inquiry into all the students that I have the privilege to teach.
I am a creative at heart with a love for technology and I spend most of my spare time practising digital photography and writing music.

My name is Tim Tatham and I teach in Key Stage 2. I love teaching and seeing children learn and understand new ideas. My favourite school subjects are Physical Education, Mathematics and Geography. I like to run clubs and see Talbot Primary children compete (and win!) against other schools. I am proud of the County Champions we have had at Talbot.
I ride my mountain bike to school and also enjoy using my bike during the weekends. I also enjoy playing football, watersports and being outside in the fresh air. I like going on holiday and visiting new places. I am an armchair sports fan and particularly like the six nation rugby, watching Barcelona FC and The Tour de France.
My dislikes are traffic jams, ICT glitches and cold, wet weather!!

My name is Mrs Rayner and I am new to Year 6, having been the Year Leader in Year 5 and Class Teacher of 5SR for a number of years. I love teaching at Talbot Primary School especially teaching Maths, English, History, Geography and Art.
As a mum of two incredibly busy and active teenagers, I am mostly a taxi driver in my spare time! However, when I do have free time, I enjoy classes at the gym, particularly Zumba and weight training, cooking, reading (I belong to a Book Club), travelling and socialising. Most of all, I love being outdoors, especially by the beach or in the forest, walking my dog - Nala.

Retired doctor currently working as an HLTA to pursue my passion for inspiring a love of maths and science in primary school children. Eager to build self-confidence within my maths focus groups and to empower every child to reach their full potential.
I like to cook and bake with my kids and look after my family's health through shared water sports: paddle-boarding, swimming and surfing. This makes supporting Talbot swimming groups and cookery classes an amazing part of my role.

When I am not at school, I spend time with my daughter Lucy baking, playing chess and practising her beloved takedown.

I am Mrs Ponsford and have worked at Talbot since 2011, during which time I have taught across Reception and Key Stage One. My current role at Talbot is to support both children and parents with attendance as well as closely working alongside Key Stage One.
In my spare time I love being with my family down the beach or out on the water. We enjoy being outside and are often out for walks and feeding the swans. Prior to having children I played badminton for a local league which I hope to do again in the near future!

I love teaching at Talbot Primary and love working in different year groups across the school. In my spare time I enjoy running (although I´m not very good), walking by the sea, reading exciting books and cooking, especially trying out new recipes.
I also love visiting cities all over the world, New York in particular, which I have been lucky enough to visit three times!
Mrs Prentice Music & Science Lead
I am Mrs Prentice and I teach both Science and Music from year 3 to year 6. I am passionate about both subjects and really enjoy trying to share my interests with the children. Putting on musicals, concerts and Christmas events is a magical part of this job, watching children shine on stage gives them all the confidence in the world to go and succeed at other things too. In fact, Christmas is my favourite time of year with the amazing carol concert that takes place at St Marks each year.
During my free time I like listening to music, working in the garden and spending time with my family. I have two beautiful girls who also love music and animals - we spend most of our holidays at Longleat and other animal parks! I am not exactly sporty, but I do love to ice skate when I get the chance.
In the future I would like to visit as many different countries as possible, but for now France is a favoured destination!

I have been a swimming teacher here since the pool reopened in 2013.
I started my career training with the GB Synchronised swimming team and then continued my swimming career as a RNLI lifeguard on Bournemouth beach for several years before I got into school teaching.
My whole family are swimming mad and we are all keen deep sea divers - any excuse to get into the open sea!

I am the pastoral Care Worker at Talbot Primary. I started working here at Talbot in 1997 taking on the role of Pastoral Care Worker in 2002.
I am a keen walker and completed the 3 peeks in memory of my late husband. I enjoy taking my dog for long walks and photographing the wonderful countryside.
I have two children who both attended Talbot and enjoyed their experiences here, gaining entry into the local grammar schools.
My role at Talbot is to support the emotional needs of the children, parents and staff within school. This can be many things including emotional literacy support, counselling, parenting support, referring to outside agencies or services and most of all, a friendly ear.
I really enjoy my role as every day offers a new challenge and I love being part of this school community.

Hi, I am Ariete Gregory. I studied psychology in a university in Brazil, before going on to work with children and teenagers with special needs.
I have been working at Talbot for the last three years. I support children who are eligible for the Pupil Premium across the school and I love the fact that I am able to get to know them better and be able to support such great children!
I have a passion for cooking and an even greater one for eating! I love singing and dancing (my feet are better than my voice though). My two sons, aged 13 and 11, also keep me on my toes, whilst giving me a bigger picture of what really matters in life.

We have recently relocated from Harrow, Middlesex to be closer to our family. It took a while to get used to the slower pace of life here in Dorset but I think I'm almost there!
Having given myself a 6 month 'holiday', I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to resume work in an educational environment. I left a large high school last summer having worked there for 14 years, so the challenges are quite different but I'm now fairly settled and everyone has made me feel very welcome.
