Dear Parents & Carers,
Further to the video updates sent yesterday, this email is to clarify everything that has been set for September and going forward.
Day 1 – Transition (Monday 7th September)
Children enter the school site through their new year group entrances – school staff will then direct them back to their old classes until they meet their new teachers and peers at morning break. This will enable them to catch up with their former teachers and see their friends. (Members of staff will be available outside to direct and support children if required.)
Please collect them from their new year group waiting area if in Year 1, 2 & 3.
Dropping off and picking up
As per the maps, children should enter the school in their new year group allocated areas. At the end of the school day, children in EYFS, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 should be collected from the playground, teachers will bring the children to the waiting areas.
Children in Year 4, 5 & 6 parents should meet children in a per-organised spot outside the school or arrange for them to walk home.
If you have siblings in school, they can meet you at the younger sibling’s waiting area if you wish.
When classes have a set day for P.E, they should come in to school wearing their P.E kit, with the exception of swimming, children will change in school.
The P.E Timetable will follow shortly.
1 - The school building (including the school office) will remain closed to parents. If you have any enquiries, please call on 01202 513981 or email us on email@example.com.
2 - We are a now a cashless school. With the continuing concerns regarding COVID-19, we are unable to take any cash payments in school.
Any payments must be made online via your Scopay account - this now includes book bags, p.e bags, ties and trips.
If you do not have an account, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us and we will try and email your account details to you.
3 - There will be no extra-curricular clubs until further notice. We will update you when we have an idea when they can restart. We will endeavour to introduce year group sporting based activities after school asap.
Packed lunches will be ordered for children in Year 1 and Year 2 (Reception from October) and those who are entitled to free school meals for the first 2 weeks. All other children should bring in their own lunches and a plastic bottle filled with water.
The children will eat their lunches in classrooms until further notice.
Bags, Coats and Resources
If your children can bring their resources into school without a bag – please do.
From Monday 7th September, Talbot Stars will now be based in the bungalow. The bungalow has numerous rooms to keep the year groups separate.
Please remember, this service can only be used if you have booked and paid in advance.
As always, if you have any questions or enquiries please email or call us. We are really looking forward to seeing you all on Monday.
