Room on the Broom
We started this week by finding a mysterious hat and the story of Room on the Broom. After reading the story we discovered that the witch met lots of helpful creatures on her travels who joined her on her broomstick but her broomstick was broken by a fire breathing dragon! We all worked extremely hard to try to fix the witches broomstick by using our phonics knowledge to help create a 'silly potion' to repair the broomstick. Our hard efforts were rewarded with a fantastic party on Thursday where we played Halloween party games and enjoyed our party food.

Maths
In Maths this week we have focused on comparing amounts by using the language of 'more' and 'fewer'. We have practiced placing objects into five frames which has helped develop our 1-1 counting.
After Half Term
When we return we will be reading the story 'I am Henry Finch' and discussing our own thoughts that pop into our head.
