Emergency School Closure School Closure (SNOW)

If deep snow has fallen overnight, then a decision whether to open or close the school is made by 8:00am. The decision is made once the Headteacher has sufficient information regarding staff numbers, site safety and accessibility to the school.

If the decision is made to close the school, then the following action will be taken to inform parents:

• We will send an email message to parents and a ClassDojo message
• We will notify local radio stations
• Notices will be placed at all our entrances to the school
• Information regarding school closure will be broadcast throughout the day either on the school website www.talbot.poole.sch.uk  by email or on social media (Facebook / Twitter)

School Closure (OTHER INCIDENTS)

If the school needs to close due to unforeseen circumstances, similar procedures apply as the 'Snow' policy above.
